Reminiscence.

At the start of the Memories of Mine project, a reminiscence session took place at Silverdale Working Men’s Club Ex miners dropped in and brought a variety of artefacts from their time in Silverdale pit and reminisced about their time working there.

Shortly after the country went in to lockdown and no further face to face sessions were able to take place.

As a way to spark conversations within the community during this time, theatre company Scratch and Sniff made a film asking for people’s memories of Silverdale Working Men’s Clubs.

This sparked lots of conversations on local history Facebook groups and was a simple way for people to reminisce in a different way.
