Mining Badge.

Following on from the series of community badge making workshops that took place where people were invited to look at the history of badges, the significance of them and the messages used on them during the lifetime of the pits. A new community mining badge was created for Silverdale.

The new badge is made from nickel plating and uses enamel paint to infill the design. This was the most common way mining badges were created in years gone by.
